Yes, sorry about the WiFi, we’re still on ADSL and it’s PAINFULLY slow.
For those who desperately need to communicate with the outside world, we do have excellent service with Optus 4g and good 4g via Telstra … Vodafone is awful in this entire area.
Failing all of the above, we can lend you an Optus dongle to hotspot to, for those who really need it.
The Bower is close to Canberra and also a convenient stopping point for touring the Sydney Melbourne Coastal route. If you’re considering breaking up your coastal drive between Sydney and Melbourne, a stop at The Bower and a second stop at The Moorings at Metung might be worth considering.
Suburbs nearby are Tomakin, Mossy Point, Jeramadra, Guerilla Bay, Moruya and Rosedale.
You can walk or drive to the beach.
The North Broulee beach is just on 1 km [1/2 mile] from the entrance to The Bower. It’s a fairly easy and level walk but if you want to find the best surf on the day, you might prefer to drive so you can easily check the conditions on both of the Broulee beaches as well as the nearby Barlings, Mackenzies or Malua Bay beaches.
Also. one of our popular walking trails also takes you to the mouth of Candalagan Creek via our bush walking trail and a public reserve which follows the South bank of the creek all the way to the ocean. This walk is approximately 4.5kms round trip.
